Hooray of all hoorays, WE’VE GOT KICKING!!!!
Also, pelvic rest is a thing of the past. Need we say that this is a very very very good thing?
B’s supposed to be the size of a large mango now (8.5 oz, 6 in crown-rump). Again I say, where do these people buy their fruit?!?!?!
You know what I can’t wait for? My “nesting” phase. My god, could my office really use a good cleaning-bomb and re-org.
What I can’t put off any more now, though, is planning out the inevitable shopping list. Got a great book last night, “The Modern Girl’s Guide to Motherhood”. I picked it up along with “Husband-Coached Childbirth” (the Bradley method), and really I got it because it seemed like it would be funny and I’d need that after slogging through the Bradley book. It turns out that it is humorous, but mostly it’s informational and really helpful! It has a great section what you really need to have on hand when the baby comes, what’s nice to have, and what’s really just cute but useless. Of course, as DrT likes to say, I obsess about things. So I’m not likely to take just one book’s advice on the subject.
To all you (5 of you maybe?) who read this and have kids of your own, would you mind sending M and I a message (or feel free to comment here) with the following:
1. What is the thing you ended up buying or were gifted for use in the first 3 months of your newborn’s life that you think you couldn’t have lived without?
2. What is one of the things you either bought or were gifted that never saw the light of day, or that you used and decided it was more trouble than it was worth?
3. What is one of the things that you didn’t buy or get gifted and you really wish you had?
Thanks in advance for the help!!!
